NHS Integrated Care Systems (ICSs) were introduced to improve health and care outcomes by fostering collaboration between health services, social care, and other partners.

UHY Consultancy UK have been involved with a number of ICSs (and prior to that, STPs) since their inception and we have helped to provide a range of services to improve collaborative working between system partners and reporting up to NHS England, for example:

• acting as the ICS finance lead, supporting the CFO;
• production of ICS financial plans, working closely with colleagues across not just finance, but workforce, business intelligence and operations, to ensure plans triangulate;
• completion and co-ordination of various submissions required by regulators;
• financial modelling and scenario analysis;
• supporting the development of system financial models and system demand and capacity models;
• supporting the development of financial recovery plans; and
• leading multi-agency programmes to improve care pathways for service performance and financial benefits.
