HFMA West Midlands Branch Conference
Another year, another great HFMA conference. It was a pleasure to catch-up with many familiar faces and talk to plenty of new faces, too. We won’t post the videos of the bandeoke on the Thursday evening, but, Jack, one of our directors did a great job of leading the crowd with a rendition of Angels! See you all again next year …
UHY National Charity: Dementia UK
UHY Consultancy UK is part of UHY Hacker Young (Birmingham) LLP which is a member of the UHY Hacker Young Group, a Top 20 group of independent UK accounting and consultancy firms. Every 2-3 years, UHY votes to select a national charity. This year we are delighted to announce that our national charity partner for 2024-2026 is Dementia UK.
Dementia UK is a specialist dementia nursing charity that provides free, life-changing support and advice for dementia patients and their families. We’re committed to supporting such a worthy cause throughout the next two years.
Great Run Birmingham Half Marathon
One of our directors, Thomas Devonshire, ran the half marathon in May to raise money for Birmingham Children’s Hospital. Thanks to the generous donations from family and friends the total raised in just over a week was an incredible £4,000 and is a token of appreciation for the surgery and care they have provided his daughter, Olivia.
Iron Man
One of our directors, Aaron Thomas, completed an iron man course in September. This involves a 2 ½ mile swim, 112 mile bike ride and a marathon to top it off. Rather him than us! Well done, Aaron!
